Debit Card Denied

There are several reasons that a debit card may be denied or unable to make a purchase.

  1. You Are Traveling Outside of Durango or Making An Irregular Purchase: For fraud prevention purposes this may temporarily block your card until the transactions can be verified by First National Bank or the Transaction Card Security Review Department. Between 8:15 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday you may reach First National Bank client service representatives at:

    or on weekends and after 5:00 pm you may contact the Transaction Card Security Review Department at 1-800-327-8622.
  2. Insufficient Funds for the Purchase: Please verify that you have sufficient funds available by speaking with a client services representative between 8:15 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    or 24-hours a day by checking Online Banking or 24 Hour Telebanker.
  3. Card Not Activated: If this is the first time you have used your card please ensure your card is activated by calling 1-866-985-2273 from your home phone.
  4. PIN Entered Incorrectly: If you feel this may be the problem please contact a client services representative between 8:15 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
